British-Asian
thriller 'Pusher', based on a screeplay by Assad Raja, is a gritty
remake of Nicolas Winding-Refn's cult Danish thriller with the same

Synopsis:
Salim
(Assad Raja) is dealing drugs on the streets of London during the
summer of 1999. When he's not working, he hangs out with his girlfriend
Anita (Mahima Chaudhry) and best friend Kabir (Pasha Bocarie) and
places heavy bets on the Cricket World Cup with an illegal bookie.
Anita stashes drugs for Salim though he disapproves of her work
as a nightclub 'champagne girl'. When a new customer places a big
order at a price Salim can't refuse, he goes to Davar (Marc Anwar),
a local supplier with two vicious henchmen, Shamsher (Mohammad Zadran)
and Khan (Munir Bolia). When Salim's big deal goes wrong, he finds
himself wondering if there's anyone left he can trust. And now he
has even bigger problems to face, as both Davar and the bookie are
preparing to pounce...
