Lance Ribeiro, Watercolour and metallic ink on paper, 22.5 x 15 cm.1987In May 2013, Asia House will present the first memorial exhibition of the Indian-born artist Lance Ribeiro (1933 – 2010). Comprising over 70 works, this exhibition will bring together landscapes, portraits, still-lifes, and abstract compositions produced by the artist over five decades, reflecting his wide ranging interests. Ribeiro was born in Bombay to a Catholic Goan family. He joined his brother, the artist F.N Souza, in London in 1950, originally setting out to study accountancy before abandoning it to take up painting. right arrow read more

Charity fundraiser for India’s First Fine Arts University
Surbhi ModiLeading figures from the arts, creative industries, business and society gathered at the Saatchi Gallery in central London on the 15th of November for a fundraising event by international charity Arts for India to bring the first Fine Arts University to India.
