| GRAND
DESIGNS ON A BUDGET |
Decorating
your home
on a grand scale doesn't have to cost the
earth. You can experiment with colour and
fabrics and explore exciting lighting and
designs. Some of us prefer stark, sparsely
furnished homes with a minimalist appearance,
while others prefer a more cluttered, cosy
retreat.

vogue for clearing out the clutter, to create
a spacious, comfortable abode will continue,

TEN 'TAT' IN AN ASIAN HOUSEHOLD |
Having
watched a surfeit of home improvement TV programmes,
I thought I would make an early start on spring-cleaning.
Imagine my horror then to discover that my

A NEW CONTEMPORARY LOOK FOR YOUR HOME
|
The
wallpaper has started to peel, the 15-year-old
nylon carpet is shedding tufts of grey fuzz,
and the cushions have definitely seen better
days. It's time for a new living room -- but
instead of the usual magnolia walls and grubby
biscuit-coloured carpet, why not opt for a
completely new look?

| AVOID
DECORATING DISASTERS |
You
only need to turn on the TV these days to
see how much we're fascinated with the idea
of giving our homes a new look. And there's
no doubting our enthusiasm for styling our
homes, either; we're doing more and being
more daring in our choices than ever before.

| INDIAN
INTERIORS BY DEIDI VON SCHAEWEN |
What
can I possible say about this book, except
that it is my favourite coffee table book
of all time. With page after page of sumptuous
mughal palaces, plush hotel lounges and rustic
village houses, 'Indian Interiors' is a visual
feast of the highest order. You will not be
able to resist thumbing through it time and
again as it offers an unbiased photo perspective
on design.
